I saw the post in distance learning about different organizations for distance learning and thought I'd start one over here for aspiring doulas for certifying organizations. Feel free to add any because I'm SURE I'll miss some!

This is a great thread. A woman from my community emailed me yesterday about learning more to become a Doula and I emailed her a link to alldoulas as well as a list of the various organizations to research to choose from. Thanks for thinking of this! It is good for aspiring and new doulas to know their options from the get go so that they can choose the best fit for them.

If you check out our Resources section, there is a growing list of Doula Organizations & Training you can also add to.

Auss, you think this thread is okay? It may be more visible to newer members. I quite like the idea of having the list on the forum. Just my though. Whatever you decide is cool.

I was linking as an additional resource.
A list here is helpful to new members as well as being quick and easy to find - a complete list can also be found in our Resources section (which offers many more links, tools, downloads, and materials that will help new Doulas on their journey).

II have also been really enjoying my Certification program through Inutitive Doula, in Mendocino County, California. The course is simple, and the instructors are readily available, friendly, and warm. Check it out, and add it to your refferral list if you like it!
