Greetings All Doulas!

My name is Tatiana, I'm 22 years old and I'm actually a birth assistant not a doula (yet) from New York City.

I started working in the realm of childbirth last year as a birth assistant to a homebirth CNM and I attended planned homebirths in all 5 bouroughs. I currently work as a birthing assistant at a birth center here in the city but I also take on doula clients on a freelance basis.

I'll be taking my DONA class in July but since I have dozens of births under my belt I feel confident in my skills as a professional childbirth attendant.

I was pre-med in undergrad (currently on sabbatical) but since becoming a birth assistant I have decided to forego the MD route and have opted to become a CNM instead! I will be starting my pre-reqs in Jan 2013 to prepare for entry to a midwifery program.

I'm so glad to have found such an amazing site to help me with my passion for empowering & natural childbirth!

Yes I do! I just started there last month so I've only attended a handful of births with them. What's your name?

I'm Narchi - I was there on May 15/16 and there was a very nice young birth attendant (forgot the name) - so I wonder if that was you
